JW Animal Protein Develops Gelatin Manufacturing at a 66-Mu Production Site

Bangladesh JW Animal Protein Co Ltd is developing gelatin manufacturing at its production site in Nayarhat, Savar. The Chinese-invested company has a factory site covering 66 mu, equivalent to approximately 4.4 hectares. The investment gives the company a local base for its manufacturing and export activities.

Gelatin is one of the company’s principal product development directions. The business plan identifies pharmaceutical applications as an intended market, placing gelatin manufacturing within the company’s programme to develop specialised protein products for overseas customers.

China and Russia are the export markets identified in the company’s commercial plans. With production based in Bangladesh, JW is bringing its local manufacturing activities and international market development into the same business programme.

The factory also has its own effluent treatment facility as part of its supporting infrastructure. The production site and its associated facilities form the physical foundation for JW’s gelatin business and its longer-term manufacturing development.
